Stekelig varkensvlees


Dit is een nogal ongebruikelijk recept dat ik bedacht met het gebruik van de crockpot met uitstekende resultaten. Je kunt dit alleen serveren, in taco-schalen of zachte tortilla's ... hoe dan ook, het resultaat is geweldig! Nopalitos (cactusstukjes) hebben een eigen smaak, maar kunnen een soort milde artisjokaroma hebben en als het gekruid is in de pot, kan het een beetje groen Chili proeven. Je kunt de nopalitos in de Mexicaanse sectie krijgen van uw supermarkt of een Mexicaanse kruidenier.

Bereiding

  1. Snijd gebraden in grote stukken en bak het seizoen (of koteletten) met zout, peper, komijn, knoflook en oregano.
  2. Leg vlees op de bodem van de crockpot.
  3. Bedek vlees met gespoelde/uitgelekte / gesneden nopalitos (cactus) en in plakjes gesneden uien en bedek met salsa.
  4. Bedek de crockpot en kook op laag gedurende 6 uur of totdat het varkensvlees gaar is, zacht en met een vork kan worden geplast.
  5. Zeef vlees en groenten van crockpot.
  6. Gebruik 2 vorken, shred vlees en meng met een plantaardig mengsel (voeg wat sap uit de crockpot toe als je het meer vochtig wilt) Serveer gehakt vleesmengsel zoals gewenst: met tortilla's, taco schelpen (met of zonder toppings), of alleen.
